Before joining the Department of Music at Humber College Tom taught Jazz Studies full time for three years at the Brandon University School of Music. He has also provided instruction for McGill University, Concordia University, Collège Marie Victorin, Lower Canada College, and The Montreal Academy of Music. Tom has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses including: Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Theory, Aural Skills, Jazz History, Jazz Pedagogy, Jazz Styles in Historical Perspective, and Applied Lessons (Jazz Piano). He also co-directed the B.U. Jazz Ensemble and several B.U. small jazz groups. |
