Tom has always enjoyed the intimacy and freedom of the solo piano format. Performing solo has taken him to Morocco, Bahrain, Bermuda, Central America, and to many of the Caribbean islands. He has also performed extensively in duo settings with notable jazz singers Dawn Tyler Watson, Sharada Banman, Coral Egan, and Sara Latendresse.

His 1997 CD release entitled Somewhere features a collection of timeless show tunes, including "Love Is Here To Stay", "Moon River", and the Leonard Bernstein classic from West Side Story "Somewhere".
